My son wanted a costume that was not sold in stores. We had to pay expensive shipping and it took a very long time to come. It arrived and we tried it on immediately and found it was too big. We tried to return it to the store but they wouldn’t take it since the return window ended the day before and they couldn’t exchange it for another size since the costume wasn’t sold in stores. Even with proof that we ordered it well before the return window ended and it just arrived a few hours before that, they would not take it back. The online chat said we could still return it by mail but we had to pay return shipping. Then we couldn’t even do that because the website wasn’t showing it as delivered yet so it would let us start a return. I ended up buying the new size before being able to start a return. It took four days for it to show up as eligible for return, almost causing us to miss the mail back return window too. We will NEVER buy a costume online again. We did not wait until the last minute. We ordered in early October. Now it’s October 22nd. I am out the cost of two costumes, have paid regular shipping and return shipping on one and “express shipping” on the second one to try to get it by Halloween. Still waiting now for the new size, praying it fits since we are stuck with it and have paid an insane amount at this point for this one costume.
