I purchased this item as a gift that I did not plan on opening ahead of time, but I am glad that I did because the item arrived broken. It was packaged in three different boxes and was encased in stiff styrofoam. Opening the box, I took out my dagger that had broken in the box, separating the hilt from the blade. I paid a decent amount for this item that is only available for order online so I can’t even go to a store and swap for a new one.
I have tried calling customer service multiple times. They either are closed or you have to sort through menu after menu to just be placed on hold waiting for an associate. My projected wait time was “4-5 minutes.” I sat waiting on the phone for over a half hour until the hold music timed out and I was never able to speak to anyone. So I tried going in store to exchange. I was told that I could return the item for a full refund but they would not be able to place an order for another one honoring the 20% off coupon I used during the original purchase.
So now I have a broken item that I can’t even exchange for one that isn’t defective unless I want to spend even more to order an entire new one.
