Site Experience FeedbackAug 23, 2026
Roots in-house online shopping system seems fundamentally flawed, which makes whether or not I actually want to buy things from the online site moot-point. I was forced to use a roundabout method through a 3rd party app (Shop) in order to complete the purchase, because Roots was recommending I remove the actual address from my order (including apartment number), and replace it with the generic name of the building itself. (Instead of "#123 - 4567 St", it wanted "Vancouver Apartment" - you can see the issue when it comes to actually delivering such a package.) The two options presented ("Save & Continue" and "Edit Address") were unclear in what they were referring to ("Save & Continue" with new address or old? "Edit Address" to switch what I put in, or what Roots recommended? I don't know.) and the only option that will proceed to payment without being caught in a loop of endlessly editing, then recommending new address, then editing, is the "Save & Continue" option. This option takes me to the Payment screen and autofills with the problematic generic address. ("Vancouver Apartment"). I have no way of telling if my shipping address has been changed at this point or not, and can only assume that I'm currently paying for a parcel that can't actually be shipped anywhere.
