Hi - I received a gift card and was applying my gift card at checkout. Roots checkout (powered by Shopify perhaps) was refusing to accept my gift card because I had customer Shop pay enabled. Even after disabling Shop (annoying in itself), there was no transparency on the order confirmation. It did not show the $50 gift card deduction from the Total, yet the payment method clearly shows gift card payment $50 and Credit Card payment for the difference. In addition, the email confirmation I received does not lay out the details of the order. It is a good thing I downloaded a pdf of the order confirmation on roots.com. If I have to go in to a Roots store for a bill adjustment, or contact VISA for chargeback support, this is going to be a very poor first-time customer experience. I would like to add that I do a lot of my shopping online. I have never experienced this at other merchants (ex. Old Navy, Amazon, TSC, etc.). Thank you.
