Saw an outfit I liked, bought it and it came in a reasonable timeframe. I tried it on, felt okay about the fit and quickly discovered the inside pocket had no stitching where the seam should be (rendering it completely useless). I reached out via the web-chat and when someone finally responded they offered to email me a pre-paid return label which i was told i would receive in 24-48 hours. After checking my email and junk folder everyday for 10 days, I can confirm I never received this email.
I went to the retail location at Limeridge Mall in Hamilton, ON and spoke with a sales associate (Sarina) who was extremely helpful and understanding. She told me to bring in the damaged garment and placed a replacement on hold for me.
I'm a bit disappointed with this experience as I have been a long-time customer and have been always willing to pay the premium that I've come to expect at Roots. But given the substantial lack of quality control, I will be reconsidering the prospect of purchasing your clothing online going forward.
Frankly, this would have been a hard-stop for my business, but Sarina and the staff at the Limeridge location managed to salvage an otherwise frustrating shopping experience.
