Frankly this is the first and last time I will shop at roots. The item arrived damaged, with dirt stains (it is a white product so it’s very noticeable) and loose threads on almost every seam. All I wanted was an exchange, however I’m told Roots does not do exchanges. What company doesn’t do an exchange? Is this some sort of joke? I was told I’d have to return the product and then buy it again. Well what if it sells out before my return is processed? I am essentially loaning Roots money until the return is received and then probably have to wait 5 business days processing time for the refund.
Here’s the best part though. Not only did the CS agent tell me this, they also told me the incorrect stores had stock for the item I was looking for. The stores never actually had the product in the size I needed. So after some calling around I found a store that had ONE left. Guess what? I could not exchange in store either. I had to re-buy the product on the spot and now I am STILL waiting for my return to process. Which, by the way, I will be receiving as a gift card since I originally purchased using a gift card. So again at the end of it all, I have double spent on one item and essentially given roots a loan of 160$ in the form of the gift card I will be receiving back instead of just exchanging the item.
This was easily the worst experience I’ve ever had shopping with a company and I will go out of my way to steer everyone I know away from shopping with Roots.
