I want to support Roots so badly; however, their online purchase policy is outrageous. As a small business owner, I understand marking items as “Final Sale.” That said, online purchases should be eligible for in-store credit if the item does not fit or is unsuitable. Again, I understand wanting to move stock, but I will never shop at Roots again due to my awful online purchase experience. I bought a skirt that was final sale and when I received it, sadly it didn’t fit. Customer service wouldn’t allow me to exchange in store for a correct size or store credit. So now I’m stuck with something that I can’t wear. Had I tried on the “final sale” item in store and purchased it, absolutely Roots should enforce their final sale policy. But online when you can’t try it on? Clearly the $52.99 Roots received from me is more important than receiving future sales. I will continue to share my horrible experience story with everyone within my reach (social media, WOM, etc.) because I am so ANGRY with this company. *Insert sarcastic slow-clap at the poorly run (and embarrassingly Canadian) company.* Good job, Roots.
