The Final No Return/No Exchange Policy does not serve the Roots reputation well. I ended up with 2 pairs of sweatpants that are 6-7 inches longer than my size and no way to exchange (or return), so I ended up with useless merchandise and Roots ended up with my money and not carrying about my experience or satisfaction. While it is true that merchandise laws permit Roots not to accept Final Sale merchandise back, this was my first in a lifetime experience that a merchant, after my numerous attempt, actually refused the return/exchange after the product was definitely described Not As Expected (size does not match by a lot). Frankly, roots does not sell better quality merchandise than comparable competitors, at much higher premium prices, because consumers rely on the company’s reputation. Now that in my experience the Roots have a shattered reputation, after selling products to consumers that they cannot wear. Why would anyone go back and be treated like Dolarama customer? Good luck with that- there are many stores that sell same or better quality merchandise at lower prices. The roots brand sticker does not interest me as a consumer any longer, after this treatment.
