Online Shopper
Site Experience FeedbackDec 1, 2025
My overall experience with the website and in-store shopping was mixed.
I feel that seasonal products could be easier to find. I prefer shopping in-store because I enjoy seeing your new seasonal designs clearly, but most of the time the stores mainly display the classic items, which can feel repetitive. When I tried to look for hats, the selection was very limited and not easy to locate.
In the physical stores, the overall product assortment feels quite small. I often end up shopping online because the items I want are only available on the website, which is unfortunate because I enjoy the in-store experience more.
During Black Friday, the promotions also did not feel very strong, and the staff did not seem very proactive. We had to ask about the promotion expiry date ourselves, and the interaction felt as if we were the ones trying to convince the staff, instead of feeling welcomed or encouraged to explore products.
The fitting room situation was also inconvenient — there were only two rooms, and they were locked every time, which created delays. This was especially difficult on a busy shopping day like Black Friday when customers are excited to try more items.
That said, I still really like Roots’ designs, which is the main reason I continue to shop here. But aside from the design, there isn’t much that makes the shopping experience feel essential. If another brand were to offer designs that surpass Roots in the future, there would be little reason for customers to remain loyal.
