Post-Delivery FeedbackDec 31, 2025
I needed to replace the microwave turn ring on my microwave oven. I had a hard time finding the right replacement while using my phone - the microwave model number changed and provided a part that didn't look right. I had to do the order over. That was confusing. But I finished the order. The processing of the order was Ok, except that the label that came with the part said "Substituted Part." Delivery was fast and accurate. The part wasn't the right one. What I got had wheels that were too small. The glass turntable didn't sit properly on the turn ring. If I removed the plastic thing in the middle that turned the glass turntable (which I tried because the web site said they weren't providing that part any more), then the glass plate more or less sat on the new turn ring, but the glass turntable wouldn't turn any more. The size of the wheels on the new turn ring was 3/32 of an inch smaller than the wheels on the old one. I called and talked with a customer service rep. She said I ordered the wrong turn ring. She ordered a new one. It appears to be in transit now. I'll see if it works. I wanted to send back the turn ring I received because there is nothing wrong with it except that it doesn't fit. She said I would be notified by the warehouse about how to return the turn ring that doesn't fit. I have not yet been contacted about it. I will wait until the latest replacement arrives. If it fits, then I'll contact customer service and find out how to replace the part that doesn't fit. If the latest replacement doesn't fit, then I will also contact Customer Service. Besides getting my money back for the part that doesn't fit, part of the issue here is the shipping charge. I paid shipping for the part that doesn't fit. If it was my fault that the wrong part was sent, then yes, I should pay for all shipping, which will be over $40, about as much as I paid for the first part that doesn't fit. At the least, I should be reimbursed for the part that doesn't fit after I return it (which will happen after I am told how to return it). If the latest replacement doesn't work, then 2 parts will need to be replaced and I'd like to have the company pay for all shipping associated with parts that don't work.
In summary, the ordering process was just OK (probably because I used my phone to order instead of the computer). The delivery process was very good. The process of returning the part that didn't work and getting one that does work is yet to be determined. Shipping seems to be good so far (though not yet completed). Getting instructions for how to return part that doesn't work is not at all good (so far). I hope I don't have to return 2 parts.
