Bought a dock whip set for nearly $500. It arrived with damaged packaging and damaged product, with labels on it indicating that it was a previous return to Overton's from a different customer, and was then sent to me as the next customer to receive this defective item. The cheap little 2 inch plastic "whip tip" was broken, rendering the $500 product useless. I contacted the manufacturer to get a replacement. They wanted to charge me for the part. They refused to send a replacement since I did not buy directly from them. I contacted Overton's customer service by email and explained the situation. I have not gotten any response. After over a week, I have sent them another email to see if they will respond. This product is large, bulky, and has heavy fiberglass poles that are about 8 feet long along with heavy steel brackets. The packaging was damaged on arrival beyond ability to re-use. Shipping the entire thing back for refund will be difficult and costly.
All I need is the little 2 inch plastic "whip tip" to make it functional. The manufacturer should stand by their product, but they are not, and I am not getting a response from Overton's.
