Love the ease and availability of the labels I’ve ordered from Online Labels for going on 10 years now… I own, operate a physical brick and mortar soap shop where I make all the products sold in-store and online. Not only do I create my own formulas for each of my products, but I also package, design the label and label all of my products. The software that this company offers for designing labels is amazing. Easy to use and never seems to mess up or drag. I can save and store all of my label designs right on their website and quickly access and edit each label as needed.
I use the Kraft labels for inkjet printers. The newest Kraft paper that has been available these last 2 years or so is way better and adheres much better to the packaging than the old Kraft labels that were available 7,8,9 years ago. This new Kraft is thinner, has the look of texture, but there’s really not any texture, and because of the thinner paper it doesn’t seem to want to curl off the Boston bottles like the thicker, older Kraft paper did.
Did I mention that I like to midline my labels before I apply them to jars and bottles? Yes! This helps keep the water and oily finger prints off them… especially when you have greasy body butters and testers that customers love to try out at the beginning of their shopping trip to my store…. So, once they try the body butter and have great fingers for a short period afterward, they ALWAYS go to the next product, usually my candles, (also with Kraft paper labels) and when they pickup the jars to smell, they leave behind oily fingerprints on the labels! After a few weeks of getting a little beside myself of this, because it happened often, I decided it was probably time to start putting a coat of SOMETHING on the labels to prevent the oily finger prints from destroying the look of each product…. I’ve tried several different top coat protectants but eventually settled on the mod podge brand. It works great! It also helps to make the label last longer and prevents water from damaging the label and making the ink bleed and run.
Back to the latest Kraft paper: which works the best with the mod podge application. If I haven’t already said it- I love it! Keep it up Online Labels! I will always love your products, your software, and the ease of it all! Thanks for everything!
