I love Mikasa china. Our first set as a newly married couple (39 years ago) was a Mikasa set we used as our "fine china" even thought it was very 'cost friendly'. I believe we received about 14-15 settings between our shower and wedding gifts. We still have every piece today! We have all the serving bowls, casserole dishes, cream & sugar! We acquired our Swirl Bone China pieces from a friend who was moving. There were 6 dinner plates, 5 bowls & 6 lunch plates. Then there were only 5 dinner plates after I broke one :(. I decided to go on your website and was delighted to find them still available and in stock and actually on sale! And even better when I saw that I had ordered enough to qualify for free shipping! Well that excited quickly went away when they added $53.24 for shipping because you don't ship free to Hawaii. To me this is so unfair when you can ship in the Flat rate boxes for the same price as on the main land. This shipping completely negated my discounts. The shipping was more than 1/2 the cost of the products ordered. I usually decide against ordering products when the shipping is so expensive but I had my heart set on these dishes and I truly do love them so I bit the bullet and ordered anyway. Unfortunately it will probably prohibit me from ordering again which does make me sad.
