We purchased a 32-piece dinner set from Mikasa online for the first time, and unfortunately the experience has been very disappointing. When the set arrived, we immediately noticed that four dishes were a normal shape, while the others were noticeably different. The overall quality was far below what we expected from this brand.
We contacted customer service to request a return, especially since their return policy clearly states that items can be returned with no questions asked. Instead, we were told to send photos so they could “decide” if a refund would be allowed. The representative we spoke with was unhelpful and seemed unwilling to take the product back, despite the written policy. The interaction felt rude and dismissive.
This was our first purchase with Mikasa, and based on this experience, it may be our last. It’s disappointing because we expected to love the brand. I’m sharing this so others are aware of the customer service issues we encountered. I hope Mikasa will make this right, but as of now, this has been a very unpleasant experience.
