Site Experience FeedbackDec 5, 2025
Overall my visit to the Marmot site today was positive, and I was able to find what I needed, but there are a few spots that could be smoother. I came in looking for a durable Gore-Tex shell in size Large that could handle all-day outdoor work, not just casual wear. The category and filter layout helped me narrow things down by size and price fairly quickly, and the product pages themselves are strong. The photos are clear, zoom works well, and I liked having the technical specs and fabric details listed in plain language instead of just marketing terms. The size guide was also helpful and felt realistic, not overly “optimistic” about fit.
On the downside, I found it a bit harder than expected to filter specifically for Gore-Tex or similar waterproof membranes plus high durability. I had to click into multiple jackets to confirm whether they were actually waterproof, work-ready shells or more lifestyle pieces. A clearer “waterproof shell only” or “hard shell work use” filter would save time. Price and sale filters also felt a little limited when trying to stay under a budget, and it would help to sort by “biggest discount” or “best deal first.” Comparing a few similar jackets side by side was also not very easy, so I was clicking back and forth between tabs to compare weight, fabric, and features.
In short, the site looks clean and is easy to browse at a basic level, and the technical information on individual product pages is solid. The main improvements I would suggest are tighter filters for serious waterproof shells, better tools for comparison, and more flexible sorting for shoppers who are working within a specific price range but still need tough, high-performance gear for real work outside, not just occasional use.
