Honestly, my experience with Journeys was pretty solid overall. The team was really friendly and easy to get along with, which made the shifts go by faster, especially during busy times. I liked that the environment was pretty laid-back but still fast-paced, so it didn’t feel boring. I also got to interact with a lot of different customers, which helped me build confidence with communication and sales.
One thing I appreciated was how supportive the managers were—they were usually willing to help or answer questions, especially when things got hectic. That made a big difference when I was still learning. On the flip side, it could get pretty stressful during peak hours or sales events, and sometimes it felt a little overwhelming trying to balance helping multiple customers at once while keeping up with store tasks.
Overall though, I’d recommend Journeys, especially if you like a social, energetic environment and don’t mind being on your feet a lot. It’s a good place to gain customer service experience and learn how to work in a fast-paced retail setting.
