I flew my Habu XS 80mm on the second flight. After I put the retracts down, I saw that the right landing gear was hanging and swinging. The gear mount/support IN THE WING had fallen out. And the landing light plug and wire broke. They are unrepairable. I landed on 2 wheels, the front gear and the left main. During the landing, the left gear mount or support also broke free of the wing.
I was informed by support that the mount/support is NOT available for purchase. The same for the landing light on the wing.
What that means is, I need a NEW WING at $150 for a BRAND NEW PLANE with only 2 flights on it.
I will be getting a retract to replace the broken one, but the plug/light IS NOT AVAILABLE, and so I will NOT be able to use the landing light on the right side.
It would have been appropriate for Horizon to replace the wing. But so far, that is not happening. I am very disappointed that the adhesive did not hold on either of the mounts/supports of the retracts. Quality Control seems to have failed on this product with so little adhesive to hold them.
A new wing to replace the original failed adhesive to put it back in a fully flyable condition would be appropriate.
The customer support team did all they were allowed to. That says to me that management does not support customers as well now as they used to. And I am a Full Throttle Top Tier member!
