While attempting to locate a replacement retract for the FW-190 1.5m (original retract is weak, and broke at pivot point) I contacted your online chat. The online rep. tried recommending a $300 gas/balsa retract/ wheel set, when all I needed was a replacement retract servo. Since HH doesn't show any specs (i.e. size, length, or mount point) info on their website it's impossible to find direct-replacement parts.
Luckily, I was able to match a retract from a different Eflite plane, that WILL work.
(P-51 Mustang 1.5m WHICH IS ALSO DISCONTINUED but at least had parts still listed on the website..)
Horizon Hobby: If you're gonna discontinue models, at least have the decency to list individual part specs so that your customers can find replacements, even when you under-engineer (read: build weak...) equipment..
Common industry practice for most replacement parts is 6-8 years, and some (like Automotive) is 10 years.. Even the computer industry (which is well-known for their quick "planned-obsolescence") is 5 years...
