First the positive.
Most of what I was looking to purchase was in stock. Not having the Super Timber prop is not a problem since I was looking for a spare. The same goes for my Conscendo prop.
Now the negative.
Shipping options are not good enough for a "Top Tier" member. The old 2-day FedEx was still 3-4 days, but at least it was a better option. Having to pay for that is a real loss for me. Overall, the new program's value is much less to the consumer. It would be better to go back to the old program, as I would purchase more. This new program makes me wait to purchase replacement parts since I have to order over $100 to get "free" 4-6 day shipping. Not very fast or convenient, and I do look for other purchasing options. Other websites do have 2-day shipping, like Amazon, so that helps if I need a part quickly.
Second, because I can't accumulate "rewards" longer, I don't purchase larger items; I use the rewards on small, mostly replacement, items and spend less overall. Whoever thought this program was better doesn't really know how many I have talked to on social media, or my friends', shop. Maybe better for those who spend huge amounts of money, but it does impact the number of transactions for many. Not a bad thing since I probably have enough planes and will keep fixing them. If I buy a larger plane, I typically was buying more parts, and more expensive batteries etc. Now I don't think I'll purchase a $500-1,000 plane.
Third, the Spektrum battery and charger "benefit" is also not a huge value. Most people I know don't buy large numbers of batteries every year. We have a set of 25-50 and will only replace those that are worn out.
