My most recent experience with GameFly was honestly really smooth and reminded me why I still use it. I like having access to games without feeling pressured to spend $70 every time something new comes out, especially when I’m not sure if a game is something I’ll stick with long term. Shipping was pretty quick, the discs arrived in good condition, and sending games back has always been simple.
One thing I appreciate is that GameFly still feels useful in a time where so much gaming is shifting toward digital ownership and subscriptions. There’s something nice about being able to try different games at my own pace without committing to a full purchase immediately. I’ve also had good experiences with customer service whenever I needed help or had questions.
If I had to point out a downside, I’d say the mailing process can sometimes feel a little slow compared to instantly downloading a digital game, but that’s kind of expected with a physical rental service. Even with that, I still think the value is worth it if you enjoy trying multiple games throughout the month.
Overall, I would absolutely recommend GameFly to friends, especially people who play a lot of games or like testing titles before buying them permanently. For me, it’s been reliable, convenient, and a good way to save money while still enjoying new releases.
