My mother has Addison's Disease , steroids are not nice to the skin and the side effects at 70 years old are hard on her. Growing up my Aunt E could look across the room and know exact what her skin needed, Aunt E worked for Estée Lauder and as a child I’d watch her pass my mother these brown bottles of Night Serum. During holidays my older sister and mother got these beautiful gift boxes from Aunt E and eventually I was old enough to have make up, so I did too. We sat around the dinning table at my Grandma’s Christmas dinner and sampled the products my sister and aunt instructing me on how to apply blush, eyeshadow and lipstick. Years past my Aunt retired and passed away mom forgot what works and struggled with finding solutions for her skin. Then this Christmas season arrived and I could hear my Aunt in my mind speaking as she would when conducting those beauty sessions after dinner. I had a vision of that brown bottle mom looked forward to every Christmas and Mother’s Day. I had supplied her with at least 3 other brands over the years but they did not hit the mark it was expensive and disappointing. So I returned to a holiday ceremony with Estée Lauder’s gift boxes. My mother has been so happy with it , the Night Serum and eye cream and we resurrected a holiday tradition that brought out the warmest memories of Aunt E. It was truly special, from a beauty aid that began when I was 7 years old. My mother was a tired single mom with lots of prescription side effects, my aunt looked at her and said come here, you are not moisturized properly. A tradition lost now returned and my mother is so happy.
