This was my first time shopping on Estée Lauder. It’s always felt a little out of reach price-wise, but I’m getting married soon, and I figured I deserved a little self-pampering. I was excited to explore.
At first, it was fairly simple to find what I wanted, but as I browsed, I realized just how many products I didn’t even know existed. Discoverability could definitely be better. For example, the luxury collection wasn’t even suggested. I only came across it by chance.
Another thing that threw me off was the tax addition at checkout. It felt sudden and unexpected. I wish there had been more clarity earlier in the process. Comparing products was also difficult. A quick side-by-side comparison feature would’ve saved me time. And when it came to gift sets, it was hard to tell what was travel-size and what was full-size—that information wasn’t always clear.
The way products are categorized and labeled could also use improvement. The navigation bar didn’t really give a clear sense of what each collection was meant for. Even though the product descriptions included helpful information, it was a lot to read through, especially when you're just trying to explore what works for you. Better visuals or simpler summaries would have made a big difference.
One feature that would really help is showing a suggested skincare routine based on the product selected. That would make it easier to add complementary products to the cart without having to start a new search every time.
That said, I’m still hopeful. If these products work well for my skin, I’d love to come back and explore more. The experience just needs to be a bit more intuitive and beginner friendly.
