I just had one of the most frustrating online shopping experiences with this site. I set my location to Canada, the page clearly showed https://www.elfcosmetics.com/en_CA
, prices were displayed in Canadian dollars, and the Canadian flag appeared in the corner, everything indicated I was on the correct site for Canadian shoppers.
As a new Beauty Squad member, I was offered two discounts: free shipping and $10 off. Both showed up in my basket with no issue.
But when I went to checkout, the free shipping discount suddenly disappeared without explanation. Annoying, but I continued because the $10 discount still appeared.
Then it got worse: after I paid, my email confirmation showed that the $10 discount had also been removed. No notice, no explanation - just gone.
Being shown two discounts, having them confirmed in my cart, and then losing both during and after checkout is incredibly misleading. Honestly, this was the worst online ordering experience I’ve had in years. This was my first order with e.l.f ever and most likely my last.
I hope the company addresses this, because it really damages trust.
