Really disappointed, as I expect better from Dover. I ordered a bridle, which didn’t ship with the rest of the order. I contacted them after 2 weeks to ask and they said it would be shipping, but gave me no eta. After another week I contacted them again and just said to cancel the order. The person just cancelled it. No apology, no attempt to find out why it was behind. Just did not care. I also ordered a leather halter and “added personalization”, which I thought meant the nameplate would come on the halter. Instead I got the halter and the nameplate was in a separate bag. Now I have to either buy a leather punch or pay someone to put the nameplate on the halter, which is ridiculous. Other places send the halter with the nameplate attached. If I was ordering an embroidered saddle pad would they just have sent me the saddle pad and some thread? I don’t think so. If it wasn’t going to be attached they shouldn’t offer “personalization” and make it clear that the customer has to buy a leather punch along with it or have it assembled elsewhere at their own expense. I specifically ordered the bridle from them because I had seen the bridle used on another horse, liked it, and wanted to get that specific bridle. I could easily have ordered the other items from other places. Thankfully I found a bridle elsewhere and I doubt I’ll be ordering from Dover again because they could not have made it more clear that they didn’t care at all about my business.
