I always struggle trying to figure out the right size shoe for my kids because their size varies across brands and, of course, their feet change between orders. Consequently, I always measure their foot and review the size chart. The listing for the shoes did indicate that they ran small and to order 2 sizes above their street shoe size. Nonetheless, I expected the size chart on the website to reflect the actual shoes sold at the store. I selected the size that was indicated by the size chart that corresponded to the actual measurement of my older daughter's foot figuring if the shoe did not fit her it would fit her little sister. Their current sneakers are a size 1 and 2 respectively, so I thought that the size 3 that was indicated on the size chart would fit one of the two kids. However, I was mistaken. The shoes were too small for both girls. I think it is very important that an online retailer that charges for return shipping provides an accurate size chart for all products so that customers can order items most likely to fit. I did the work (measuring my kids feet and reviewing the size chart) and yet I still ended up with the wrong size. This is frustrating and the primary reason that I'm hesitant to buy from discount dance in the future. I paid shipping both ways and I view the error to be on the side of discount dance for providing inaccurate or incomplete information. If we had a local dance store, I would definitely not order from discount dance again. As it stands, I may look for another online provider.
