Shipping confusion

Extremely disappointed with the handling of my order. I placed my order on 4/14 as a gift for my daughter. Her birthday is the 20th of April and there should have been sufficient time to receive her gift. The online status of her items shipment was update to label created, awaiting item. It remained that way until 4/18 when I contacted Crutchfield via online chat ro see the status of my order. I was assured my order had shipped on 4/14, despite what USPS was showing. Later that day (4/18) after talking with the customer rep, the status updated to show USPS had received the item, and the projected arrival date is 4/23, after her birthday. Im upset and disappointed to have to tell my daughter her gift will be late. What really bothers me however, I will never know but it appears to me that my order either got lost or overlooked before I contacted the customer representative to enquire about my orders status. I feel as if I had not reached out, my order would still be sitting in limbo. I will never know, but it sure appears coincidental that the shipping status changed after I made contact to enquire.
