Site Experience FeedbackJun 4, 2026
I was buying a "screen" to replace the stock radio to get my 1993 F-350 into the 21st century. It also has a backup camera as I am now accustomed to driving with one the past 5 or so years. I can't imagine driving without one anymore. I know the electronics on these old vehicles are hardly ever compatible and I was soo pleased that the website clearly explained that and prompted the solution: some wiring harnesses for about $30 extra. I checked the other retailers online and most of them will sell the screen with backup camera, but make no mention of the necessary harnesses to get the system to work. That would be incredibly frustrating to spend $900 on a screen, but the installation experts do not let you know you should expect to make some modifications for the screen to be installed correctly. I am not a car audio expert, I am relying on the retailer to tell me everything I need to have the kit successfully installed. Crutchfield were the only website to do so, which is why I went with them. On top of the feature that let me know which products would fit on my particular pickup (and only showed me those), they also sold me the wiring harnesses necessary to correctly install the kit. If everything is as I suspect, that ALL the components I need are included in this purchase, I will be ecstatic with the selection and service Crutchfield provided. If everything arrives undamaged with all the components present, I will certainly be coming back to Crutchfield for future car/truck audio purchases.
