Post-Delivery FeedbackJun 17, 2025
The entire ordering experience is not just easy and straightforward, it’s fun. You can select your specific vehicle and Crutchfield only shows options that fit your vehicle. It also has different levels of how well the product fits and what modifications, if any, are needed to accomplish the install. They also offer different installation options based on budget and which factory features you want to retain (e.g. just the head unit vs head unit and module required to retain said features). If you choose to include the module, they do so at a much lower cost since you’re bundling it with the head unit. They also recommend the mounts and wiring harnesses needed for the replacement speakers and even throw the mounts/harnesses in for free or at a highly discounted price.
Another awesome service they provide is wiring the aftermarket head unit’s wiring adapter directly to the module or wiring harness. They do charge for it, but it is worth the hassle of having to strip wires, match wires up, and clamp/solder/tape etc. They do warn that it could take an extra day to complete the wiring, but in the 3 builds I have done, it did not affect the delivery date.
When you purchase a module to interface with your vehicle, they also do some or all of the programming necessary for your vehicle. Most experiences I have had have been extremely plug and play with the exception a factory microphone not working. It wasn’t a huge deal, but it would have been nice to get a head’s up.
That tiny detail does not does little more than a scratch and I would recommend Crutchfield to anyone.
