I'm an og Clinique die hard. I also shop online, in general often. I'm sorry to tell you that your website is lagging far behind the standard. It's slow and glitchy. It's also just unclear, often relying on red texted footnotes to convey things and other footnotes or asterisked info. It's just not modern, it's coming off as archaic. Functionality isn't built it. It's footnoted with text. Even this survey said thanks for trying our new reality feature. Except I didn't. These kinds of things just make Clinique seem like they are just very manual and behind the times. It also makes your website seem risky. For instance, my cart clearly showed I had free shipping. Yet on the same page I got a red text note that said one product was due in soon and would be shipped in 1-2 weeks but would not count toward my free shipping minimum. I only got one other product and I didn't see anywhere on the page where is said what the minimum was so I couldn't tell if it or not. My concern was it looks like I have free shipping but this note seems to indicate otherwise so when I click this checkout button, am I then going to be charged for shipping. That almost stopped me from ordering altogether. That kind of stuff is a barrier to purchase. I implore you to modernize your site and build functionality in, not manual text workarounds that don't make sense to the customer and in fact cause concern.
