I do not like that the reward points expire. I also think it is odd that I received an email congratulating me on my anniversary and that a bonus would be loaded onto my account, but when I logged in to complete a purchase...the option was not available for me to redeem. I appreciate the email, but they should send it when it is actually valid not in anticipation of its validity. The email was sent at this morning and implies the reward is loaded and ready for redemption, but that was not the case. The expiration of the points at tier 3 is disappointing. Clearly I spend money there, why should points earned from a purchase I made a month ago expire on the same day as those I earned from a purchase 6 months ago? What if I am trying to save up for a higher reward. I mean this is skin care you're selling. So I run out when I run out or need more when I need more. It isn't on a set schedule. And also, the fact that there is a limit to how many rewards I can redeem is also absurd. I am not limited to purchasing a number of items, why should I be limited to how many items I could redeem. What if I bought several items and decided I wanted to redeem something from the 50 point level and the 150 point level, if I have that many points and I am making a purchase I should not be limited to only 1. Instead of feeling joy at coming upon my anniversary that you recognize, I am actually stressed out...stressed out because my points expire the day before so I have to buy something so I can redeem 1 item even though I purchased something not too long ago and could only redeem for 1 item then. Then I get this anniversary gift that you give me 30 days to use, but hello, I just bought what I needed so my points won't expire. And because I don't know what options are actually available as my anniversary gift I am left wondering did I make the right choice and buy my items or wait and maybe miss out on a special or something. Purchasing Clinique products should make me feel good not just because I should like what I see, but because I trust the company and feel good about the company, but this points expiring the day before the anniversary gift and limit of 1 redemption per order does not make me feel happy. Let me clear, I appreciate the loyalty program, but I am simply asking you to make it feel like a happier loyalty program and not a stressful loyalty program. Let's remember your perfume is called "Happy" how can bring that emotion to the forefront of the buying experience for your loyal customers.
