Heyyy girl, I have alopecia too. I know how awful it feels to have strangers and even close coworkers, family or friends stare at your scalp when speaking to you instead of your face. I hate it, it makes me feel ugly, it's embarrassing, why was I cursed with this thinning hair condition? The Bumble and Bumble Brownish Hair Powder spray has given me such a significant sense of relief and confidence. It’s more than just "haircare" when it’s what helps me feel comfortable looking people in the eye. It instantly conceals my scalp because it's pigmented, and it disguised those alopecia patches. It helps volumize my hair too which instantly helps with a confidence boost. It stays put throughout the day and I only have to target the areas that are thinning. The downside is that it's a bit messy, forget scratching your scalp or running your fingers along those areas, your fingertips with be stained brown. And my biggest hurdle and frustration has been that this new found confidence has become a financial burden, at $44 a bottle, this is now a "luxury" expense for a daily need. Despite the high cost and the mess, I would still recommend it because it works better than anything else for camouflage. While other brands make "root touch-up" sprays, they often look greasy or "painted on." This product has a matte, powdery finish that looks like real hair and skin. For me, the $44 is a "confidence tax"—it's expensive, but the ability to go through the day without worrying about my scalp is worth the investment.
