The main issue I had today was that I received an email titled it's like 2 sales in one indicating that items were currently on sale and that there was also a discount code that could be applied on top of the current sales - so I thought it would be a good time to make a purchase. However, this was misleading advertising (this upsets me deeply) in that when I made my purchase choices I did so with the discount code sales in mind and then at the checkout cart it would not allow me to use the discount code along with the current sales on the items I chose - so the email was entirely misleading and it was not like 2 sales in one at all. This made me feel like I got scammed into making a purchase that might not have otherwise taken place.
Although not associated with todays experience the only other issue I have had so far is that it would be helpful to be able to request an earlier mailing date in specific situations - like this year we are having a very early spring and it would be nice to receive items earlier if requested.
Just a note to say that I am a new customer and I am currently waiting on my first purchase (fall planted bulbs) to come up this spring. So far many of them look like they are coming up well but no sign from some others though it is still early for some. I will give adequate time for everything to come up and depending on how well these plants do and/or whether or not I need to resort to the guarantee (and in seeing how that process goes) will entirely determine how and if I continue to use BRECK's as a source for my plant purchases. So far everything is looking good (minus the misleading email) but I am currently holding back more purchases to test out the system and see if it is a match for me. Fingers crossed it is a good match as I have already spent over $600.00 in this test phase ;)
Otherwise, I am very excited (and hopeful) that this will be a great source for me to make plant purchases as I have a very large area to landscape on several properties. I have found the website easy to manage and a lot of helpful information about the plants.
I have thought that it might be useful to filter the plant search via planting zone but then it is likely not needed as almost everything I see is good for my growing zone which is really wonderful!
Finally, I hope that there will be added discounts (like the one I thought I was receiving in the email) for repeat and loyal customers or perhaps a version of point collecting with each purchase?
All in all, I am eager, excited and hopeful to relie on this source for purchases if all goes well with my current purchases :)
