I originally ordered this purse as a Christmas gift for my mother on 12/10/25. Confirmation#67176809. I live in IN and ordered it to be delivered to me. The site shows that the purse was in stock. On 12/18, I received an email that appeared as though it had shipped, but when I opened the email it was to notify that my order was cancelled siting out of stock. I called customer service and discussed this with the rep. She was very friendly and informed me that she can see that there are several of the purses in the color I ordered in stock and she isn't sure why my order was cancelled. She ordered the bag again for me during this conversation on 12/19/25 and I paid over the phone. Confirmation #67325008. She was transparent with me that my order wouldn't arrive before Christmas, which was disappointing. Both orders placed on 12/10 and 12/19 qualified for free shipping as well. I also submitted a concern/complaint form on 12/23/25 because I wanted to get confirmation that I would receive the purse this time. To date, I never received a response from that submission. On 12/25/25, I received another email from Boscovs appearing that my order shipped, but when I looked closer it again said, cancelled out of stock.
I called Boscovs customer service again on 12/29/25 to find out why the website continues to show that the purse is available, yet my order was cancelled again. I spoke with a rep who again said that she can see plenty of this item in stock. She said that she was contacting the store manager and providing them with my contact information so that someone from the store can call me and assist me in ordering this purse. To date, I have never received a call from that person.
This experience has been disappointing to say the least. I just went online and ordered this purse again hoping that the 3rd time is a charm. Boscovs is literally the only store that has this specific purse, otherwise I would have taken my business elsewhere after my first order was cancelled. There has been no follow-up whatsoever to my inquiries. Why even offer an online contact form, if you aren't responding to customer inquiries?
The only other feedback I have is that although this particular item (Item#864635) is shown on your site as the olive color. When I select black because that is the color I am hoping to purchase, it doesn't change the color in the picture of the purse.
I am also disappointed that I now have to pay shipping to receive this item when I tried to rectify the situation during the free shipping promotion time. Again, if I could purchase this purse anywhere else, I would. Hoping I receive it this time.
