I have purchased 7 bikes from BD. Out of all those purchases, there fas been a couple issues. However, when I reported the problem, one was missing a brake part, another was a derailer issue, all was taken care of, no questions. You can’t beat the price for level of quality. I have purchased I purchased inexpensive kids bikes, to $2000 full suspension adult mountain bikes and a road bike too. No bad experience, delivery was very timely and BD has always been great.

I have a PayPal account but it wouldn't let me connect with it. Also in the cart it stated my total price as the listed price. Then after I confirmed payment it put up the total including the tax - where I needed to move money in my bank from savings to checking. Just put the total with the tax before someone starts the checkout process.

Huh - well, there's a huge variety of frames and builds, and my search definitely began with the paradox of choice - the more options there are the less you enjoy the process, but in the end I think I've selected the best bike possible for an update after 30 years without a new road ride. I can't WAIT to see how it rides and how well it performs in all the areas I was hoping to use it. You've made the purchase process SUPER easy - that part was an absolute joy!

Be careful of what you pick you are stuck with it. For example i got ridiculous unusable pedals straps not clip in, also i got tires that aren’t good for a gravel bike . It is called out in order but no easy quick way to contact to ask questions ie could i get other tires? A phone number would be best for this.

First time buyer from abroad. I am very satisfied at the variety offered and was able to find the right bike. Ordering easy and delivery via Kango was a breeze. The bike was well packaged so no scratches were found. I was able to assemble the bike via YouTube instructional and thus, without having it done by a mechanic/store. It would be desirable if BD provided a manual for assembly. All in all, hats off to BD for a quality product, packaging and delivery. Thank you!

lThe gravel bike I ordered has the cheapest tires and inner tubes. The rear tire inner tube blew up immediately upon being filled. The tires do NOT want to stay seated on the rims. The front brake XLT lever does not work well. The seatpost is super long, and does NOT slide down the seat tube enough for me fit this bike properly. I am 5' tall and this bike, a Medium, too big for me. The sizing comment that it "fits most 5-7 to 5-9" is incorrect.

I had an idea of what kind of bike I wanted to buy, but it was a little fuzzy. I wanted something on the order of what I recalled English racers to be when I was a kid. I never owned an English racer, but understood them to be bicycles that struck a balance between speed and efficiency for street riding and comfort. I did some research and learned that it is precisely what English racers were, but that no company builds English racers anymore and that, if I wanted one, I would need to shop on Ebay or at garage sales. However, I knew that was the same sort of thing that Dutch bicycles do today. In other words, Dutch bikes have features geared toward speedy street riding, like narrow street tires and aluminum frames, but also have comfortable seats and handlebars designed for riding upright. I also wanted a quality bike, but not an excessively expensive one. I found exactly that sort of bike at bikesdirect.com at an excellent price. So far, I have only had time to ride it a little, but it seems I have found exactly what I was looking for in a Gravity Dutch bike.

Customers, myself included, would definitely benefit from a more modern websites; the interface, ease of finding different bikes, etc. Also, many of the smaller sizes were out of stock whereas the larger ones were much more available. The free shipping is great. Great bike options too.
