Risk, but mostly reward
Post-Delivery FeedbackNov 1, 2025
My expectations were met. For weeks, I researched dual suspension mountain e-bikes with high-end groupsets. I realized that I could not find a more competetively priced bike from the competition without sacrificing component quality. There were only two problems that need to be addressed. They both minor in my my opinion, because I do my own bicycle maintenace and repair. The first is that "dropper" seat post cable length was way too long as delivered. No big deal. The second was a more serious "SAFETY/QUALITY" issue and would have required a trip to the bike shop or resulted in a return if I wasn't a DIY'er. The e-bike battery kept coming unlatched from the frame with the slightest bump. After some investigation, I found the upper/lower battery mounts spacing, at frame attachement to be too far apart. This resulted in a positive "latch", but with an insufficient amount amount of latch engagement to provide adequate retention. The holes of the mounts are slotted and require a special Shimano tool and procedure to garantee the correct battery mount orientation and spacing. In my opinion, this part of the factory assembly was not done correctly. Problems of this type are why most people feel better paying more to buy from "brick and mortar" establishments. My only hope in this case is to not find any more core assembly issues that could result in injury. So far so good.
