I'm happy with the products but NOT thrilled with Aveda-online. It's beyond frustrating that points expire (shouldn't ever expire for customers! &/or aren't enough for anything for people not spending a lot of money each year.) Bothersome as a 26yr (salon) client that Aveda-Online *doesn't care about customer service enough* to offer a discount code to get less-frequent online clients BACK. I feel like they take advantage of customers like myself; people who aren't financially flourishing but want to take care of themselves with quality products. Sure, I don't purchase online as often as they'd like, because 33.8oz lasts me a year & I get extra at the salon, but I've ONLY patronized Aveda-certified/approved salons since 2001 & the value seems to be going DOWN. I feel ripped off but IDK which other products I can use. (Also. doesn't seem the same quality as the late-90's to early-Oughts. Perhaps I'm just irritated at lack of discounts & long-term client respect/thanks.)
2nd time: WHY OFFER FOUR FREE SAMPLES but NOT GIVE A CHOICE? (why not things I'd like to try?) The last 2x I've purchased, I've been offered four MEH products to "pick" from, but I'm supposed to pick out four different samples from FOUR items? **I do not have curly hair!** WHY WOULD ANYONE WANT TESTERS OF NON-APPLICABLE ITEMS? Aveda Online feels like beyond a rip-off, and each purchase is making me feel more and more like a mark. I'm concerned I'll be somehow penalized for this review, but it's how I feel. (None of the above applies to the salon I patronize! Amazing owner, not a snob, excellent with hair, styling and is a color maven.)
