This was my first experience ordering from AMS. I make frequent music gear-related purchases through other online vendors since I live in Hawaii and there aren't many local purchasing options there. I initially wanted to have the purchased item shipped to my home in Hawaii, but there were no free shipping options. The option provided wasn't unreasonable, but I generally try to avoid paying extra for shipping if at all possible (my customer service representatives at the other online stores I purchase from are generally able to waive cost of expedited shipping). I happened to be visiting my parents in North Carolina, so decided to go ahead with the purchase and avoid shipping fees by having the item delivered to their address. Not ideal, but I figured it was worth a try. This is also an open box item which was therefore somewhat discounted in price, so as to provide an added incentive to purchase. I'm hoping the rest of the transaction goes smoothly and that the item condition meets/exceeds my expectations. If all goes as I hope, I anticipate adding this vendor to my list of go-to stores to check for all future purchases. For better or worse, I easily spend thousands (if not tens of thousands) of dollars on gear purchases annually.
